Morgan was born in Mackay, Central Queensland and growing up in a tropical climate, he could be found outside riding anything with a motor.  He started on motorbikes but didn’t take to 2 wheels, following which, his father introduced him to Go-Karts.  The Mackay youngster was a natural on 4 wheels and in 2008, he entered the Queensland Closed State Karting Titles, proving his talent early with a top 10 result. After a turn to a strong fitness program, Morgan continued with this success through 2009 and 2010, with consistent positive results including the Nationals and NSW and QLD State Titles.

In 2009, Haber turned to the competitive Formula Ford category in his home state of Queensland, and his first test onboard a race car. In 2010, Morgan tested a National standard Formula Ford, again impressing with strong times; however the overall expense deterred the teenager away from the category.

In 2011 Morgan put up a fight for the Championship in the Australian Swift Racing Series. With little experience in race cars he showed great potential but due to funding he could not compete in the last round which put him out of the chase for the Championship and resulted in a 3rd place overall for the year.

Prior to the 2012 Kumho Tyres V8 Touring Car season, Morgan took a test opportunity with respected V8 Supercar team, Matthew White Motorsport at Calder Park Raceway in Victoria, with a vision to enter into the category. With the initial aim of the program to get established with the car, Morgan took many by surprise, proving to be quick from the beginning and showing consistency.

This test then gave Morgan and the team confidence to enter the opening round of the 2012 Championship at Eastern Creek International Raceway, a track that brought him success in 2011. A consistent performance over the 6 rounds of the Kumho Series saw Morgan place 3rd in the Championships in 2012. It was this consistency that gave Morgan the opportunity to test a car in the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series. After securing positive times and given Morgan’s determination and raw talent, Matthew White signed the youngster to his Team to contest the Dunlop Series in 2013.

With some great results over the 2013 and 2014 racing years, Morgan was maturing as a driver and in 2015, the Mackay racing prodigy signed with Erebus Motorsport to race their Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in the Australian GT Championship.  Off the track, Morgan joined the Erebus Academy and will undertake Engineering duties in the Erebus Motorsport V8 Supercars workshop on the Gold Coast while completing his last year at University.
