GERARD MCLEOD

Experienced V8 Ute racer Gerard McLeod comes from a large motorsport family. He is the brother of MARC Cars Australia owner and creator Ryan McLeod, and the son of 1997 Bathurst 1000 winning driver Peter McLeod. McLeod entered the sport as a mechanic and engineer for V8 Supercar teams including Holden Young Lions, John Faulkner Racing, Smiths Trucks Racing, Kelly Racing, Britek Motorsport, Tekno Autosports and currently Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport. He is also a part-time driving instructor at Fastrack Racing in Melbourne.

McLeod is a self-confessed motorsport historian specializing in the Australian Group C & Group A touring car periods. McLeod’s previous Bathurst experience includes multiple V8 Ute rounds and the 2011 Bathurst 12 Hour where he joined Ash Walsh and Chaz Mostert in the Racer Industries Holden Astra.

McLeod debuts in a MARC Mazda 3 V8 at the 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour in the CCV Australia car alongside Bryce Full wood and Nick Rowe.
